“Finding inspirations from a Kaleidoscope and a rotating, colourful ‘Firki’ Cinevidya’s Logo packs in all the zest that we are about. This vibrant Logo was designed by Radoslav Savev of Bulgaria who has honed his skills in Graphic Design from the University of Ruse, Bulgaria.”
Cinema is a very potent medium; a medium with mass reach as well as mass relevance. Aside from that, I feel that it is the medium of the young and the future. It allows the perfect blend of creativity and technology. That is the reason I want to bring this medium to children,” says Amitabha Singh, cinematographer, producer and the brain behind the initiative Cinevidya.
Yes it is- a short film though! A Cinevidya filmmaking workshop demystifies the process of filmmaking and in as little time as 3 days, walks you through the entire process chain from end to end. Cinevidya is ‘Learning by Doing’. Since filmmaking is a purely practice based medium of content creation, the only way to make a film is to actually make it. So in our workshops, you learn as you do and you do as you learn. That’s the way we make films, even professionally.
It’s engrossing pace is packed with action, exploration and thrill. We start with appreciation of a simple short film. Then quickly move to understand a film's life cycle with it's complete production process. Filmmaking is a marvellous team work, so we move on to make teams, decide on the idea that we would film, allocate role responsibilities and hit the shooting floor completely prepared. With you taking charge of each step. After the shoot, we dive into post-production, by the end of which we have a complete short film in hand. Ready to be seen, shown and shared.
All the equipment that is required for making the film is brought to you by Cinevidya. Our latest, professional grade filming equipment are easy to use and quick to operate once you get a hang of them. And moreover, our Cinevidya mentors are always there to handhold you at any stage that you may feel the need of. By the end of the workshop, you would have made a short film of your own!
Festivals are all about coming together- of people, thoughts, skills, aspirations and energies.
At Cinevidya we realised early that a Festival which celebrates such a confluence of films and filmmakers devoted to work for Children's Content is the burning need of the hour.
For long, the media content offerings to Children has been relegated to the outermost fringes of Indian Media and Entertainment Industry. However, now that we are one of the youngest nations in the World, the realities of the situation demand a very radical shift in that stance.

It’s awe inspiring to see how an experimental computer connection established to share knowledge between two distant Universities in the 1960s has emerged to be the most empowering platform of today known as the world wide web or simply the internet.
Staying true to such a cause of inception, the WoW project of Cinevidya is an equally revolutionary step in community building on-line which will empower people to share knowledges, experiences, insights and wisdom and thereby benefit from it.
At Cinevidya, we are committed to share our knowledge and experience with you in complete sincerity. Here, we are happy to answer any queries you may have that could guide you towards a successful career in Digital Content and Media Industry.
What’s your advise for someone to pursue Acting/ Modelling as a Career? Pranjal S., Faizabad, U.P.
Hi there. From our conversations I understand that you would like to know more about a career in Acting/ Modelling.
Acting, Modelling etc. are generically classified as “Performing Arts” which means you will need to concentrate and develop your performing Skills.
In the entire field of Films / Advertising, the Performing Skills remain the toughest to be considered as a career.
Hence, to my mind, you can not rely on Acting / Modelling to be your ONLY career choice.
Now, if you would like to try your hands on Acting, then I would recommend:
Take your family in complete confidence of your aspirations and plans.

It’s been a pleasure being guided by you. Thanks a lot for making me realize that the behind the screen process is even more beautiful than what is on screen.
I am really thankful for my school because of which I got this opportunity to attend your Film Making Workshop! I am really really really very happy!
