Batul Mukhtiar studied Film Direction at FTII, Pune. Her spectacular children’s feature film KAPHAL for CFSI in 2013 won the National Award for Best Children’s Film and the Golden Elephant for Best Director at the International Children’s Film Festival of India. It has screened all over the world at festivals and television channels.
Her directorial work includes a docu-feature 150 SECONDS AGO and a children’s feature, LILKEE for the CFSI. Both films have travelled extensively and continue to be shown at festivals and classrooms. She has also worked as an associate producer/fixer on international documentary projects for 15 years.
